In its first years, Pixon concentrated on demonstration projects and building special-purpose hardware.

Income was derived from major manufacturers (~40%), government SBIR and STTR grants (~40%) and other sources (~20%).

Pixon is now changing its business model toward sales and/or licensing of its products. It is under consideration by a number of major manufacturers in the US, Japan, and Europe.
